The word Improv

Yes, I'm in London and still using impro but I think it's irresponsible. Only I can't get my head arround "improv". What ever happened to the "keep it simple" principle?

Learning to fail

Cheers Daniel. Yes, concentrated wisdom. I got it from US website BNET.

Using Improv with Myers-Briggs

Hi Terrill Might be fun to have them play scenes/enact conversations in which they take the role of their MBTI opposites. Like Remy, I'm not a big fan of typologies, though they have their uses to...

Effortless, weightless Weights

I saw and reviewed a play at the Edinburgh Fringe 2008 called Weights. We also gave it an award. You can read the review here. Zingers #11: Carol Dweck - Fixed versus Growth Mindset

Today, Keith's class made me think of Carol Dweck's work on the fixed versus growth mindset. A good improvisor or a good learner lives the growth mindset. Carol Dweck is an intriguing psychologist who gave an interesting overview of a mindset that can paralyze an improvisor (please fix me). Please take a minute to look at the best one page summary I have ever seen of this view of mindsets. Click this link to see the one page PDF of the mindsets:… Continue
